São Vicente Church

The current features of the São Vicente Church are the result of an almost full reconstruction, in the 16th century, of a religious building that already existed in 1224, but whose the original date of construction is unknown.

The main façade is mannerist, a style also present on the inside, which is formed by three naves, ceilings in coffered barrel vault, nine altars and coating in patterned blue and yellow tiles from the 18th century.

Admire the baroque organ also from the 18th century, the tile panels representing the St. Vicente ship, the valuable sacred art, some seventeenth-century alter pieces and the simple Ionic capital balcony.
