São Lourenço Chapel – Tomar

 
The São Lourenço Chapel signals the place where, on 10 August 1385, the D. João I’s troops joined the ones led by the Constable D. Nuno Álvares Pereira on their way to Aljubarrota. The builder of the chapel was Aires de Quental, who was also responsible for the construction of a guns’ factory at the local.
