Santo António Chapel – Tomar

The Santo António Chapel in Tomar was built between 1953 and 1955, but it features architectural elements from a Renaissance chapel, five centuries older, set near the Pegões Aqueduct.

The chapel’s current collection also comprises elements from other demolished buildings, such as the rosette, the doors’ lintels, the stonework of the service door, and the altar’s Hispano-Arab tiles.
