S. Pedro Church – Alcanena

The S. Pedro Church is a temple of revivalist characteristics, open on 17 July 1921. On the façade it stands out a neo-gothic portal, with a round arch and archivolts, which ends in a simple volute. The central body is more elevated than the adjoining. Inside the simple lines prevail and one can find, besides an eighteenth-century image of S. Pedro, patron of the village, a Crucified Christ of great dimensions. The presbytery is separated by an arch and has an altar in marble based on two columns.
