Nossa Senhora do Carmo Chapel

Built in the 18th century, inserted in the Almeida’s House, the Nossa Senhora do Carmo Chapel was a private oratory of the family Moura de Mendonça. Following the rococo style, it has a façade with a counter-curved pediment, urn and cross over the acroterium and Corinthian pilasters.

The chapel is formed by a single nave connected with the interior of the manor by the high-choir, a privileged location where the nobles could attend the ceremonies without having to go outside.
