Nossa Senhora das Candeias Chapel – Alcanena

The origin of the Nossa Senhora das Candeias Chapel in the municipality of Alcanena probably stretches back to the 17th century. The main altar of proto baroque characteristics, on which is placed a seventeenth-century clay image of the patron Nossa Senhora das Candeias, is the main symbol of the chapel. On the floor, find a slab tomb with a 1738 inscription.
