Misericórdia Church of Torres Novas

The Misericórdia Church is one of the most emblematic monuments of the Torres Novas’ heritage. The temple was built in the 16th century, but the decorative works continued during the following two centuries.

Admire the Renaissance portico, the seventeenth-century ceiling, the board members tribune and the three gilded carving altarpieces. On the outside, the door with Manueline elements marks the surrounding the space.

It was classified as Public Interest Property in 1986.
