Misericórdia Chapel

 
The Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Pedrógão Pequeno was established during the reign of D. Sebastião (1554-1578), being likely that the building of the chapel, located at the historic centre, has occurred still in the 16th century. 

The Misericórdia Chapel has a small staircase close to the main entrance and has housed many artistic treasures meanwhile lost, such as an old statue of Santo Sudário.
