Agroal Archaeological Remains

The area that embraces the Agroal spring has many archaeological remains from various periods of human occupation, from the pre-history to the present day. Discover the Buraco Velho cave, the “Palmaria”, the Lapa dos Furos necropolis and the Agroal Fort, a settlement inhabited during various historic periods (Final Neolithic, Chalcolithic, Initial and Final Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman and Early Middle Ages).
