On the Boar Route

The Boar Route is a circular footpath with 10.3 km which will take you on a journey to the natural world, where the water, the sounds, the smells and the trails left by the animals prevail.

Along the path, with three hours duration, there are many points of interest. Visit the Barbilongos Chapel, where, according to legend, the friars treated people with plague. Keep along the water stream on route to the Valley of Amarela and continue to S. Simão, while enjoying the bucolic landscape flanking the stream. See the remains of the old S. Miguel Chapel, once a place of devotion of the neighbouring population.
