Routes

The Mouchão Park is a beautiful garden located at the heart of the city of Tomar. During summer, when the crowds are bigger and the sun’s rays are stronger, it is the ideal place for a stroll under the shadows of the trees.

This green oasis is surrounded by the River Nabão, creating various areas linked by a bridge and a small weir. The park offers beautiful views of some of the most important landmarks of the city. Above the trees appears the tower of the São João Baptista Church, built in the area known as the Republic Square. Go to the island in the middle of the River Nabão to glimpse the famous Templar Castle and be dazzled by the beautiful view of the bridge and the houses at the old city.

On the river banks there is a water wheel made of wood, still working, which in the past provided water to the mills.
