| According to a legend, the Nossa Senhora do Pranto Church was founded by Queen Saint Isabel in the 13th century. It was rebuilt and expanded by the chief-commander of Dornes, D. Gonçalo de Sousa, whose coat of arms is inscribed on a tablet on the main façade. |
